PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground heat exchanger capable of suppressing the deterioration of heat exchange efficiency caused by the evaporation of filled water, and capable of accurately suppressing the corrosion of a steel pipe inner face caused by the dissolved oxygen of the filled water in regard to an underground heat exchanger composed by arranging hollow pipes in the ground, filling water in the hollow pipes, and inserting circulating water piping into the filled water. SOLUTION: A plastic or metal cap 15 formed into a shape of a circulation water pipe 14 by die cutting is fit on an upper end of the steel pipe 11, and an upper part of a water surface 13a of the filled water 13 is blocked by sealing its gap by a gap filler 16.
