PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow every television receiving set to utilize taste information indicative of a channel which a user is more likely to view. SOLUTION: A television personal computer 10 accumulates history information where information specifying a channel which a user views is associated with its viewing time. The television personal computer 10 generates preset information specifying some channel, based on the history information. The preset information is registered at a remote controller 20 for operating a television receiving set 30 by remote control. If the remote controller 20 receives power-on instructions for the television receiving set 30 from an operator, the remote controller 20 transmits an operation signal for specifying a channel determined by the preset information 21 to the television receiving set 30, along with an operation signal for specifying switching of power supply status.
