PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of preventing an application installed without being restarted from being started even when an operating system is not restarted in installing the application. SOLUTION: A personal computer 1 is configured to perform information processing by starting applications A1 and S2 and D1 or the like on an OS, and provided with installation means S101 to S105 for installing an application D1 or the like; an input part 16 as an instruction means for instructing a user to start the application D1 or the like; a first judgement means S202 for, when the start of the application D1 or the like is instructed, judging whether or not the OS has been restarted after the application D1 or the like has been installed; and an inhibition means S208 for inhibiting the start of the application D1 when it is judged that the operating system has not been restarted by the first judgement means S202.
