PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily-constructible window frame which can achieve sure waterproofness without the waste of a waterproof agent, even in the case of the easy and rapid jointing of respective frame materials by the insertion and fitting of a joint member, by closing edges of the frame materials with a closing plate and joining the frame materials together. SOLUTION: In this window frame A for being fitted into a window hole 5 of a bathroom etc. , the closing plates 14 for closing an inside hollow portion 12 are annexed to both edges of upper and lower horizontal frame materials 1 and 1, respectively; a plurality of vertical insertion and fitting portions 8 are provided in parallel on the outside surface sides of the upper and lower horizontal frame materials and those of the right and left vertical frame materials, respectively; in the joint member 3, a metal plate is bent in an L-shape so as to form a pair of insertion pieces 7 and 7 for being inserted and fitted into the insertion and fitting portions 8 of the two frame materials, orthogonal to each other; and shut-off claws 18, the insertion-direction rear portions of which become gradually higher, are provided on the leading-end sides of these insertion and fitting pieces, respectively.
