PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestal for a free access floor allowing heavy facility to be installed in an upper part without amplifying vibration from the floor and facilitating its installation and construction. SOLUTION: In this pedestal for the free access floor, a joint part of a support column 23 and a lower frame 9 is fixed with nuts 21a, 21b to nip them in the vertical direction, and, in the same way, a joint part of the support column 23 and an upper frame 27 is fixed by using nuts 21c, 21d to nip them in the vertical direction. A reinforcing plate 13 is provided in a joint part of the lower frame 9, the support column 23, and adhesive 5. A turnbuckle 43 is provided on substantially diagonal lines of a rectangular part formed by the upper frame 27, the lower frame 9, and the support column 23.
