PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector which can carry out image formation of a high quality by stabilizing popping out of main droplets and also reducing a delay of satellite droplets from the main droplets. SOLUTION: A channel unit 2 is equipped with a pressure chamber 20, a nozzle 22, a common liquid chamber 23 and a reducing part 24 inside by stacking a plurality of plates. One end of the pressure chamber 20 and the other end communicate with the nozzle 22 and the reducing part 24 in a stacking direction, respectively. An actuator 3 is equipped with electrodes between a plurality of layered piezoelectric sheets which cover the pressure chamber 20, making a part of the piezoelectric sheets held between the electrodes an active part 47. The active part 47 is shorter than a length in the longitudinal direction of the corresponding pressure chamber 20 and located along the pressure chamber 20 in the longitudinal direction. Moreover, a center C1 in the longitudinal direction of the active part 47 is eccentric to the nozzle side from a center C2 in the longitudinal direction of the pressure chamber 20.
