Provided is a document-processing progress management system capable of managing the progress status of a plurality of work procedures in a unified manner and capable of, even when an exceptional case relating to a progress occurs, managing the progress status according to the exceptional case. The document-processing progress management system comprises: a database (203) for storing and holding progress-related information about the progress or progress plan of document processing of at least one patent application item accomplished according to a plurality of work procedures set in advance along time divisions having a predetermined order; a privileged tag label (Ti) for storing the tag ID corresponding to an exceptional case relating to the progress of an item; a reader (400) for acquiring the tag ID stored in the privileged tag label (Ti) via wireless communication; and a control circuit (201) of a server (200) for, when the reader (400) has acquired the tag ID in the privileged tag label (Ti), changing the progress-related information stored and held in the database (203) so as to cope with the exceptional case.
