A method and an apparatus, a transmitter and a transmitting method of determining the open loop pre-distortion parameter are disclosed. The solution can improve the linearity of the transmitter. The method of determining the open loop pre-distortion parameter includes: selecting the open loop pre-distortion parameter in the open loop pre-distortion parameter base as the standby open loop pre-distortion parameter of the transmitter; training and determining the standby open loop pre-distortion parameter of the transmitter when feedback signals corresponding with all the open loop pre-distortion parameter do not meet radio frequency index. By means of the open loop pre-distortion in the solution, the linearity of transmitter is improved, so that the rollback of the power amplifier is reduced. On the other hand, the solution does not use the feedback channel. The processor does not calculate the compensating parameter.
