A contents judging device, a contents judging method, an information reproducing device and an information recording medium are provided for making it possible to judge whether digital contents are subjected to abnormal processing or not. The information reproducing device is comprised of a drive (101) that reads out contents from an information recording medium (102) which records contents including a watermark indicative of an attribute as to whether encryption is carried out or not, a descriptor (103), a descriptor state monitor (104), a stream attribute monitor (106), a judging means (107) that judges that contents are subjected to abnormal processing in the case where a decoding state signal indicates other states than decode processing and an attribute detecting signal indicates encrypted contents and in the case where the decoding state signal indicates the decode processing and the attribute detecting signal indicates non-encrypted contents, a video decoder (105) and an output control means that does not makes a video signal output when the contents are judged to be subjected to the abnormal processing. |
