<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device capable of preventing pseudo-contour of a moving picture and blurring of a moving picture. <P>SOLUTION: The plasma display device includes: a plasma display panel 10 where one display line is constituted of a display electrode pair comprising two display electrodes, and the display electrode pairs in an even-numbered display line and the display electrode pairs in an odd-numbered line are alternately arranged; drive circuits 20 and 30 supplying voltage to the display electrode in order to perform display on the basis of the same display data, by setting one even-numbered display line and one odd-numbered display line adjacent to each other in an up-and-down direction of the plasma display panel as one set; a motion detection circuit 140 detecting the motion of an image, on the basis of an image signal; and ratio decision circuits 160 and 170 deciding the ratio of the number of sustaining pulses in the even-numbered display line to that in the odd-numbered display line constituting one set, according to the motion of the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
