<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print management apparatus which prevents omission of acquisition of print state information by causing transmission of a print state of a printer to be controlled, and enables a client terminal to appropriately display print state information that can be acquired from the printer. <P>SOLUTION: A print server 102, according to either mode of a simple mode for restricting an information amount of print information related to a printer 103 to acquire it and a normal mode for not restricting the information amount of the print information related to the printer 103 to acquire it, creates output instruction data defining print information related to the printer 103 that the printer 103 transmits. Furthermore, the server transmits print data with the output instruction data added thereto to the printer 103, receives print information transmitted from the printer 103 in response to the output instruction data, and transmits the received print information to a client PC 104. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
