<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shell for a drum and a drum that do not prevent vibration of the shell and have excellent acoustic characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The shell 2 is formed of a laminated plywood 10 consisting of 11 single panels 10a-10k with different densities. The single panel 10f in the center is composed of a high-density board.
