PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dummy body configured so that an advertising display body can be easily attached to a body thereof with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The dummy body 2 includes: the dummy body 3 having a connection portion 6 including engagement portions 5 each composed of a notch; and the advertising display body 4 having a portion to be connected 8 including engagement portions 7 each composed of a notch so as to be engaged with the engagement portions 5. The engagement portion 5 includes a narrow-width space forming portion 5a located on the entrance side, and a wide-width space forming portion 5b located on the inner side. Further, the portion to be connected 8 includes a narrow-width portion 8a which is narrower in width than the narrow-width space forming portion 5a and a wide-width portion 8b which is wider in width than the wide-width space forming portion 5b, and the portion to be engaged 7 is disposed in the wide-width portion 8b. A guiding portion 10 for guiding the relative movement of the wide-width space forming portion 5b from the narrow-width portion 8a to the engagement portion 7 while elastically deforming the wide-width portion 8b so as to curve protrusively toward the narrow-width space forming portion 5a is disposed in the portion to be connected 8.
