PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption in self-refresh relieving a refresh defective cell by multiplex refresh. SOLUTION: The device includes: a first refresh cycle changing means 141 for changing the refresh cycle according to an auto-refresh mode without affecting the refresh cycle according to a self-refresh mode; and a second refresh cycle changing means 142 for changing a refresh cycle according to self-refresh mode without affecting the refresh cycle according to auto-refresh mode. In this way, the refresh cycle according to the auto-refresh mode and the refresh cycle according to the self-refresh mode can be controlled independently, the refresh operation considering characteristic of each mode can therefore be executed.
