PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device for selecting the case of holding continuity of a moving video image or the case of no need of continuity, by selecting number-of-pixel data of a still image and the number of frames of moving video images. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 is connected to a CCD 5 for converting an objective image to a signal charge, to a driver circuit 56 connected to the CCD 5 for reading out a signal charge with pixels, which is lower than that of photographing time of still image, at the photographing time of moving video image from the CCD 5, to a memory 7 and to a display 22. The number-of-pixel data of still image selectable by a user, the number of moving image frames, and continuity information of the moving image at the photography of a still image based on the selected number-of-pixel data during photography time of the moving image with the selected number of moving image frames are stored in the memory 7. When the number-of-pixel data of the still image or the number of moving image frames is selected, the CPU 1 has a function for transmitting the continuity information of the moving image, which corresponds to the number-of-pixel data of still image or to the number of moving image frames, to the display 22 and causing a display 22 to perform display.
