PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasive material which is hardly crushed during polishing, generates little powder, has little blocking between resin materials, provides stable polishing for a long time, and is easily scrapped after use. SOLUTION: The abrasive material is composed of thermoplastic polymer containing polyglycerol acetic ester of 3 to 30 mass%, and has a columnar shape. A major axis of a cross section cut perpendicularly to a lengthwise direction is 10 to 3,000μm and a length is 0.1 to 3 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
