PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a showcase in which a display shelf can easily be varied and held in horizontal placement and inclined placement without making merchandise interfere with a sliding door or a door and without deteriorating the distribution of cold and warm air inside a storage chamber further in a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In a closed showcase, variable shelf support means (35, 36, 40, 50, 52) capable of switching and supporting the display shelf (30) in the state of being horizontal and in the state of being inclined to be lowered at the front to the front surface side of a showcase body (2) are provided. The variable shelf support means include a displacement means (42) for bringing the front end of the display shelf to the front surface and positioning it at the front when the display shelf is horizontal and positioning the front end of the display shelf at the back so as to be away from the front surface side of the showcase body when it is in the state of being inclined to be lowered at the front, and a front and back regulation means (37 or the like) for regulating the movement in the cross direction of the display shelf and holding the posture of the display shelf in each of the state of being horizontal and the state of being inclined to be lowered at the front.
