<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of fully increasing the directivity of light emitted from a light-emitting element to the front. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device comprises a light-emitting element 1, a base substance 2 (e.g. substrate) having the light-emitting element 1 on it, and a frame unit 3 provided on the base substance 2. The frame unit 3 contains an aperture 4 to increase the directivity of light coming from the light-emitting element 1. The dimension (w) of the aperture 4 is minimum (w0) when the distance between upper and lower surfaces S1 and S2 of the frame unit 3 is a preset value wherein the lower surface S2 is a surface in contact with the base substance 2 of the frame unit 3 and the upper surface S1 is opposite to the base substance 2 of the frame unit 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
