<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injector system with a reservoir for various fluids such as contrast media, saline, cleaning fluid, etc. that allows more than one patient to be injected using the same reservoir supply. <P>SOLUTION: An angiographic injector subassembly 12 comprises a single use portion and a multiple use portion. In particular, the single use portion is fluidly connected to the multiple use portion, and the single use portion includes a high pressure tube 28 connected to a catheter connection 30 and the multiple use portion includes a syringe 18 connected to a fluid supply reservoir 22. Further, a syringe plunger 20 is disposed in the pumping chamber and is movable along the path from the distal end to the proximal end of the syringe body 18, and the syringe plunger automatically disconnects from the syringe body when the syringe body has been used for a maximum number of uses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
