<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tailpiece holding structure of a stringed musical instrument, capable of improving appearance and durability at the same time, while maintaining the same performance nature as before. <P>SOLUTION: A rear edge of a tailpiece 7 which is arranged in a rear edge section of a surface of a body 22 is held by a tail wire 11. The tail wire 11 closely contacts a saddle plate 42 which is attached to the rear edge of the body 22, is guided to a rear face side of the body, and fixed to the saddle plate 42 by means of bolts 41.
