<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reader capable of reliably reading information on an electronic tag and suppressing the intensity of the far magnetic field only by scanning a large number of objects for management with electronic tags in the arraying direction. <P>SOLUTION: A reader antenna 22 has antenna elements 37a-37c of a first group, and antenna elements 38a-38c of a second group extending substantially parallel to a virtual division line L on one side and on the other side to be divided by the division line L. The second spacing S<SB>2</SB>between the antenna elements of the antenna elements 37a-37c of the first group and between the antenna elements of the antenna elements 38a-38c of the second group is within a range of 38-70% of the first spacing S<SB>1</SB>between the antenna elements 37a, 38a closest to the division line L out of the antenna elements 37a-37c, 38a-38c of the first and second groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
