PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for, at low cost, reliably imaging an ON state of a light-emitting device and also taking a picture as usual even when the light-emitting device periodically repeating ON and OFF and located within an imaging range is in any luminance state. SOLUTION: A stereo camera system is used which includes a function for calculating a camera position and a distance between the camera and a person or object ahead. First and second imaging units 1, 2 are configured to adjust a charge accumulation period by means of a shutter function. A signal processing unit 15 captures image data from the first and second imaging units 1, 2 and performs image processing thereon. For predetermined use, the charge accumulation period of any one of the first and second imaging units 1, 2 is set longer than an off-period of a light-emitting device, that periodically repeats ON and OFF in accordance with AC power source drive.
