PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security device and an abnormality notification method for enabling a resident to know an abnormal locked state of an opening/closing door of a monitoring region in detail, and for quickly notifying the resident of the abnormality of the opening/closing door. SOLUTION: This security device for detecting the abnormality of a monitoring region is provided with: a detection reception means for receiving a detection signal from a first sensor installed near the opening/closing door of the monitoring region for detecting the locked state of the opening/closing door or a second sensor installed near the opening/closing door of the monitoring region for detecting the opening/closing state of the opening/closing door; a sensor determination means for determining the locked state of the opening/closing door and the opening/closing state of the opening/closing door on the basis of the detection signal from the first sensor or the detection signal from the second sensor received by the detection reception means; and a warning means for, when it is determined that the opening/closing door is unlocked and closed, or that the opening/closing door is locked and opened by the sensor determination means, giving a warning to the monitoring region.
