PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exercising apparatus which can easily determine whether or not the movement of a user appropriately corresponds to the cyclic movement of a movable part and enables a user to perform more effective exercises. SOLUTION: The exercising apparatus includes a movable part 2 where the user is to ride, a drive part 3 for making the movable part 2 make the cyclic movement, a movement detection means S1 for detecting the body movement of the user riding on the movable part making the cyclic movement, and a rhythmic sense determining means D for comparing the cycle of the body movement of the user detected in the movement detection means and the cycle of the cyclic movement of the movable part by the drive part and obtaining the rhythmic sense of the user from the cycle difference. Whether or not the user is making the movement with the rhythmic sense synchronized with the cyclic movement of the movable part can be determined. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
