DECORATIVE SHEET AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE DECORATIVE SHEET

A decorative sheet which includes a film and a decorative material to be used for decorating an article comprising a textile product and in which the decorative material can be easily peeled from the film; and a process for producing the decorative sheet. A laser beam (24) is caused to strike on a surface (12) while moving the beam along the outline of a pattern (14a) in the surface (12). Thus, a synthetic-fiber sheet piece (26) having the pattern (14a) printed thereon is cut out of a synthetic-fiber sheet (10). In the cut part of the synthetic-fiber sheet piece (26) and in the cut part of the synthetic-fiber sheet (10), an incision (groove) (30) extending to near the back side (28) of a film (20) is formed in the film (20) during the cutting due to the heat caused by irradiation with the laser beam (24). A peripheral part (18a) of an adhesive layer (18) of the synthetic-fiber sheet piece (26) is fusion-bonded to the film (20), and that peripheral part (18b) of an adhesive layer (18) of the synthetic-fiber sheet (10) which is near to the peripheral part (18a) through the incision (30) is fusion-bonded to the film (20).
