A top board mounting structure in which the decorative surface of a top board itself can be utilized and such utilizations of the top board that it is inverted upside down and its mounting direction is changed can be easily and properly adopted. A support body (2) for supporting the top board (3) is provided with engagement parts (23, 24). The engagement parts (2, 3) are detachably engaged with the edge parts (31, 32) of the top board (3), whereby the top board (3) can be mounted on the support body (2) in the fixed state in both of the plane direction and the vertical direction.
