CONTACT HEATER FOR PACKED FOOD PRODUCTS

The inventive contact heater (1) for packed food products comprises a container (2) which is made of a flexible porous nonwoven material and consists of two similar opposite heat transmitting walls (3, 4) and a closed cavity for a water-initiated exothermic composition (5). Said heater also comprises a casing (8) made of a gas-and-water tight material. The container (2) is provided with a cover (6) made of a gas-and-water tight glass fabric and is placed in the cavity of the casing (8), wherein the closed cavity of the container (2) is filled with the water-initiated exothermic composition in the form of a homogeneous mixture of calcium oxide and anhydrous silica gel with the silica gel content in a quantity of 1 part by 3.5-6.0 parts by weight of calcium oxide, and the casing is provided with two heat releasing surfaces (11, 12) which are on the opposite sides of the casing and with an input opening (13) to be closed when the casing cavity is filled with water.
