<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretchable composite sheet having a large number of neatly arranged ridges, which is readily manufacturable, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This stretchable composite sheet includes a stretchable sheet 10 and a non-stretchable sheet 2 overlaid on the stretchable sheet 10. The stretchable sheet 10 includes a first region 14 having an elastic stretchability and a second region 15 less stretchable than the first region. The first and second regions 14, 15 are formed so as to extend each in one direction and are alternately formed. The stretchable and non-stretchable sheets 10, 2 are joined to each other in substantially the entire areas in which the sheets 10, 2 face each other.
