PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for acquiring data for outputting on a screen the manipulation of a catheter by an operator like in an actual operation. SOLUTION: The catheter motion detecting device (30) includes: a substrate (31); a rail (32); an on-rail moving object (33); an outer pipe fixing body (34) fixing an outer pipe (21) so that the outer pipe rotates with its longitudinal direction as an axis and does not move in the axial direction; a catheter body fixing body (35) fixing the proximity of the catheter body (22) protruding from the tip end of the outer pipe (21); an elastic body (36) making the catheter body fixing body movable and positioning it at a prescribed position on the on-rail moving object (33) when an bending operation is not performed by an operation body (23); an inserting length detecting means (37) detecting the moving amount of the on-rail moving body (33); a rotation angle detecting means (38) detecting the rotation angle of the outer pipe (21); and a tip end moving amount detecting means (39) detecting the moving amount of the catheter body fixing body (35).
