PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an indication plate for a measuring instrument for forming fine recess and projection patterns on only a background part of a design part without complicating processes. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the indication plate 1 for the measuring instrument forms the design part 2 and forms the recess and projection patterns 41 on the background part 42 of the design part 2 on a front face 50. The method includes a pushing face 61 forming a reverse shaped recess and projection part 611 to the recess and projection patterns 41 and forms the recess and projection patterns 41 on the background part 42 by being pushed on the background part 42 while positioning recess parts 62 on the design part 2 concerning the pushing face 61 of a mold 6 forming recess parts 62 on a region corresponding to the design part 2 in the pushing face 61.
