PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain information about respective scenes in moving picture data even after transfer of the moving picture data. SOLUTION: An imaging portion 112 creates moving picture data by imaging objects on the basis of the operation input received by an operation reception portion 111. A recording control portion 113 performs control so that the imaged moving picture data and face information related to the moving picture data are recorded in a stream recording portion 191. A face information creation portion 115 creates face information data about face images detected by the face detection portion 114 from each image constituting the imaged moving picture data. The face information data is once held in a face information holding portion 116 and stored in the last VOBU or a VOBU the predetermined number of units earlier than the last one as a face information pack in a stream recording portion 191 at the end of a chapter.
