PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support apparatus performing a suitable parking support by a simple structure in parallel parking or garaging. SOLUTION: The parking support apparatus (1) performing parking support is provided with a distance detecting means (10) for detecting a distance between the vehicle and an obstacle; an information output means (40) for outputting information to a driver; and a control means (50) for controlling the information output means so as to output a predetermined advice about steering operation when the rate of change of the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle detected by the distance detecting means is more than a predetermined level.
