PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle liquid crystal display without a step height with the periphery, having a sense of unity in a color tone, and having high design, without increasing quantity of light and performing new processing. SOLUTION: This on-vehicle liquid crystal display device has the liquid crystal display 35 mounted on a proper place in a cabin, and cover members 32 and 36 covering the periphery of the liquid crystal display 35. A screen 31 having a polarization film having transmissivity less than 50%, is arranged in front of a display surface of the liquid crystal display 35 so as to be flush with the cover member 32, and a polarization means is not arranged on the display surface of the liquid crystal display 35. When the liquid crystal display 35 is not used, the screen 31 is inconspicuous, and in use, various display information can be visually confirmed via the screen 31. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
