PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massager which can be reduced in weight while suppressing noises generated when a massage mechanism is operated. SOLUTION: The massager is provided with an outer edge frame forming an outer edge of a backrest part and a pair of right and left support frames extended in the vertical direction in the central part in the width direction of the outer edge frame. Between the support frames, the massage mechanism which has a projected treatment body capable of treating by abutting on a patient is supported in a freely ascendable and descendible manner.
