Provided is a power supply device which can reduce a heat generation amount even when the motor load is in a lock state and reduce the FET and wiring size. It is judged whether a lock current flows in a motor (M1) by comparing a voltage Vds between a drain and a source of a MSOFET (T1) to various judgment voltages. If a lock current is detected, the MOSFET (T1) is kept ON for an electric communication time tb when a lock torque can be generated. After this, the MOSFET (T1) is kept OFF until a retry cycle ta has elapsed. This operation is repeatedly executed. When the motor current ID has become lower than the lock current, the MOSFET (T1) isreturned to a normal operation. This can prevent the continuous flow of the lock current. |
