<p>The invention relates to a device and a method for moulding a part made of a high-performance thermoplastic composite material, that comprises injecting a high-performance thermoplastic resin into a fibrous preform placed in a mould (1, 2) that comprises at least one inlet port (3) and one outlet port (4) for the resin. According to the invention, the resin is injected in a molten state into the mould (1, 2) at a pressure lower than 40 bars. The method comprises controlling the inlet temperature of the resin at the inlet port (3), the temperature of the mould (1, 2) and the outlet temperature of the resin at the outlet port (4) so as to maintain said resin at a molten state. After some resin flows out of the outlet port (4), the outlet port (4) is closed and the mould (1, 2) is filled with resin. After filling the mould (1, 2), the resin injection is stopped and the high-performance thermoplastic resin is consolidated by controlled cooling of the mould.</p> |
