<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a new system for providing data to a device used by a plurality of users in common. <P>SOLUTION: In this data providing system, a client device 10 transmits a service ID issuance request to a service providing server 70. The service providing server 70 returns a service ID to the client device 10. The user inputs the service ID to an information terminal 40, and designates the kind of service. The information terminal 40 transmits the service ID and the kind of the service to the service providing server 70. The service providing server 70 associates and stores the service ID and service data. The client device 10 transmits the service ID to the service providing server 70 according to an instruction from the user.
