<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software protection device and a protector for reducing interfaces for the connection to external apparatuses used exclusively for the connection of the protector even when a plurality of applications that require the connection of the protector are used in executing the applications, thereby effectively using the interfaces. <P>SOLUTION: The software protection device that executes an application only when a protector that stores protection information for permitting execution of an application is connected to a connection interface and receives an instruction to the effect that specific protection information stored in a protector connected to a certain connection interface is to be moved to another protector connected to another connection interface. Upon receipt of the instruction, the device stores the protection information stored in the source protector in the destination protector.
