<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which enables precise transfer of a printing image forming layer such as a metallized layer, for instance, in a more reliable and more economical manner, and enables simple handling thereof. <P>SOLUTION: For the purpose of transferring the printing image forming layer onto a printing sheet from a carrier film, an adhesive is applied on the printing sheet in conformity with a printing image part. In a hot stamping apparatus (2), subsequently, the carrier film having the printing image forming layer is pressed on the printing sheet. Thereby, the layer is adhered to an adhesive part and the printing image part is formed.
