<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate useful in producing fexofenadine of an antiallergic agent and its analogous compounds. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is represented by the formula [wherein Hal is Cl, Br or I; n is an integer of 1-5; and (i) A is hydroxy and R<SB>5</SB>is H, -H<SB>2</SB>OD (wherein D is H, an acetate or a benzoate), CHO, Br, Cl, I, CN, -COOH, -COOR(R:alkyl), -C(=NH)OR(R:alkyl), (wherein the alkyl is a 1-6C straight chain or branched chain) or -ONR<SB>6</SB>R<SB>7</SB>(wherein R<SB>6</SB>and R<SB>7</SB>are each H, a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C alkoxy or form pyrrolidine, piperidine or morpholine together with nitrogen) or (ii) A is hydrogen and R<SB>5</SB>is CHO, Br, Cl or I]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
