PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hat-type steel sheet for corners and a method of manufacturing it by which a necessary margin allowance in order to fit mutual joint parts in a position where the web surface takes a turn of 90 degrees to an adjacent steel sheet pile and a constitution by which mutual joint parts are not separated are more surely obtained in the process for manufacturing products by a hot rolling. SOLUTION: This hat-type steel sheet pile 1 has a pair of right and left joint parts 5A, 5B, one-side joint part 5B is made into a bent claw joint 11 having a Larssen-shape the inlet of which is narrowed by bending the claw and also the other joint part 5A is taken as a spherical claw-shaped spherical claw joint 22 which is fit to the bent claw joint 11. The outline shapes of the cross sections of the pair of these joint parts 5A, 5B which are mutually fit are manufactured only by rolling by setting so as to simultaneously satisfy a plurality of prescribed relationship.
