PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a player's sense of expectancy for a jackpot the player intrinsically seeks by a plurality of special symbols in a pinball game machine having the plurality of special symbols. SOLUTION: If a jackpot is determined for a winning/failure random number held and stored in a second special symbol holding/storing means, a held/stored first special symbol is preferentially consumed without executing variation of a second special symbol related to the jackpot determination. With this structure, a game with the other special symbol is executed while one jackpot with one special symbol is secured, and the period in which the first special symbol is preferentially consumed is the period for the player to try to make at least two consecutive jackpots, and consequently, the player has the sense of expectancy corresponding to the number of special symbols.
