PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transfer device capable of connecting, to each other, two networks having protocols different from each other. SOLUTION: This packet transfer device connected to a first communication network and a second communication network stores first destination correspondence information, receives a packet of a first communication protocol, specifies destination information of a packet of a second communication protocol corresponding to destination information of the received packet of the first communication protocol on the basis of the first destination correspondence information, creates a header of the packet of the second communication protocol on the basis of the specified destination information of the packet of the second communication protocol, converts the one or more received packets of the first communication protocol to one or more packets of a third communication protocol, and attaches the created header of the packet of the second communication protocol to the packets of the third communication protocol.
