PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently relay and transmit a message by preventing the generation of such a state that there is not data to be transmitted in relaying a message in a cut-through system to a communication line of a transmission destination whose transmitting speed is faster than that of the communication line of a reception source. SOLUTION: This onboard relay connection unit 10 is configured to relay a message m received from a plurality of first CAN communication lines 31A and 31B in a cut-through system to a second CAN communication line 32 whose transmitting speed is faster than that of the first CAN communication line. As for a message simultaneously received from the first CAN communication line, a relay processing part 11 calculates a time difference Tdiff when a control field 43 is completely received between a message whose control field has been completely received the earliest and another message and a transmission standby time TX from the point of time when the control field is completely received about each message, and starts the relay of a message in which the sum of the transmission standby time and a time difference when the control field is completely received is the smallest to the second CAN communication line.
