PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of abnormal noise, such as, stick-slip abnormal noise, caused by the difference in the heat expansion in a fixing unit in with both end sections of a roller shaft of a heat roller integrating a heat source is supported by a supporting frame via a bearing. SOLUTION: In the fixing unit 34 has the fixing roller (heat roller) 41 integrating a heater (the heat source) 40, supported by a fixing frame (support frame) 45a via the bearing 44, a space S is provided between an outer wheel 46 and an inner wheel 48 of the bearing so that the fixing roller can be slid in the axial direction.
