PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lighting system for stably conducting a visual inspection with attaining illuminance uniformity on an objective area without causing illuminance decrease in the objective area, in particular at the central portion of a horizontally long rectangular objective area. SOLUTION: The lighting system 1 is a lighting system 1 to illuminate an objective area. The lighting system 1 includes a plurality of illuminations 2a to 2h and 3a to 3h disposed at both sides to sandwich the objective area.
