PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove foreign materials adhering to a tool at the time of changing the tool and to impart a lubricating ability and a rust prevention to the tool. SOLUTION: A storing pot 15 for storing the tool is arranged in an endless chain of a tool magazine. When the tool is taken out from the storing pot 15 at a delivery position by a tool changer, air is sprayed to a shank part of the tool by a first nozzle 17 through an inner surface of the storing pot to remove the foreign materials. Then, the tool is moved to a stand-by pot 6 by the tool changer. When the tool is taken out toward a main shaft from the stand-by pot 6, oil mist is sprayed to the shank part of the tool by a second nozzle 23 through the inner surface of the stand-by pot 6. When the tool is taken out from the main shaft after a cutting work and inserted into the stand-by pot, air is sprayed to the tool from the second nozzle 23 to remove cutting powder or cutting liquid. When the tool is moved from the stand-by pot to the storing pot, the oil mist is sprayed to coat the tool with lubricating oil and prevent a corrosion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
