PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking vessel for a gas cooker with which the temperature inside the vessel is accurately grasped and which prevents scorch onto the bottom wall of the vessel or scorch of cooked objects. SOLUTION: The cooking vessel 20 is used for the gas cooker including a gas burner 12 for heating the vessel 20 and a temperature sensor 14 making contact with the outer wall surface of the vessel 20 and detecting the temperature of the vessel 20. The vessel 20 is made of ceramics, and includes a bottom wall 21 having a sensor contact portion 23 making contact with the temperature sensor 14 and a heating area 25 heated by the gas burner 12, and a cylindrical sidewall 22 extending from the bottom wall 21. The vessel 20 has a thickness minimum at the sensor contact portion 23, larger at the heating area 25 than at the sidewall 22, and gradually reduced from the heating area 25 of the bottom wall 21 to the sidewall 22.
