The strip (1) has a roller (14) pivotably mounted between flanges (4, 5) that are made of longitudinal metallic profiles (2, 3), where a set of hollow cylindrical collars (6, 7) is drawn at the flanges. The collar serves as bearing surfaces (12, 13) for an antifriction bearing e.g. needle bearing, which is inserted into the collars or as a carrier for an outer ring or an inner ring of an inserted or suspended antifriction bearing. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a roller strip.
