Provided are method and apparatus for generating user interface model applicable to various platforms. The method of generating user interface model applicable to various platforms includes organization editing step, flow editing step, layout editing step and simulation step. In organization editing step, resources constituting screens may be defined in tree shape. In flow editing step, transition condition between the screens and relationship between the resources may be defined. In layout editing step, the positions of the resources constituting the screens may be defined, and multi-screen editing may be supported. In simulation step, environment in which simulation can be performed may be generated. Therefore, it is possible to develop user interface model capable of simultaneously operating in various platforms, and thus the method and apparatus are efficient for a development period and human resources. In addition, it is possible to perform an efficient test through the simulation step.
